It is particularly good for air-dryable coatings such as alkyd varnish and coatings made from modified resin etc. It is cobalt-free, and lead-free. Unlike the traditional driers, it is used in the coatings singly. However, the drying effect is as good as that of mult-driers being used together. The dosage necessary is only 1/10 -1/5 of that of the traditional driers, or only 0.20 -0.60% of the total coatings. It can be stored for a long time in a low temperature environment without any deterioration. By using this drier in the coatings, the painting operation can continue to be carried out even if it encountered with a low temperature and high humid weather. The drier is red-brown in colour, looks not light. However, the colour of the coating film produced is even much lighter than that added with cobalt drier. It saves your cost obviously in comparison with the expense necessary by using the traditional driers.
